Fun, fun, and more fun!  This morning in computer lab we did a virtual owl pellet dissection, and this afternoon we dissected real owl pellets.  Students worked diligently to separate the bones from the fur.  It was enjoyable to see how interested they were in finding as many rodent bones as possible.  We glued the bones to a diagram to see how many we gathered.

Connor Gray, thiis your grandma…Wow your class is really doing neat things,! Aunt Lili and I did an owl pellet project for a middle school science fair !! (long, long ago )

What kind of owl pellets did you have and where did you get them ? We found ours under trees in the woods.

Great work, kids. Nice to see the website too! Thanks

Dear Grandma,
We got the owl pellets from our Foss Science kit. We aren’t sure what kind of pellets they are, but we think they are barn owls. Love Connor
